Hollow Vale Expedition

Hollow Vale Expedition is a slow, moody adventure that trusts you to explore. You tap to move, tap to examine, and the game lets you wander without constant hand-holding. The puzzles are fair, mostly environmental, and I only reached for a hint once in the whole thing.

The atmosphere is the star here. Fog rolls across the valley, distant sounds hint at places you haven't found yet, and there's a real pleasure in piecing together the story from scattered notes. Touch navigation is smooth and I never got stuck on awkward hotboxes.

Battery life is fine thanks to the calm pace, and it's a lovely game to play with headphones late at night. If you like adventures that favour mood over action, start here.
