Casinacho Games

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Casinacho Games is one of those bright little collections that doesn't demand much from you, and that turned out to be its biggest strength. You open it, pick a mini-challenge from a tiled menu, and you're playing within a couple of seconds. Everything is built around quick taps and short swipes, so it works one-handed on the bus just as well as it does on the couch.

What impressed us was how clean the touch targets are. Buttons sit where your thumb naturally lands, and we almost never misfired a tap during a session. The pacing is gentle too; there's no timer breathing down your neck in most modes, which makes it a nice wind-down game. Performance stayed smooth on our mid-range test phone and the battery drain over half an hour was modest.

It's not deep, and it won't keep hardcore players busy for weeks, but as a light, friendly time-filler it does exactly what it sets out to do. We came back to it more often than we expected.
